June Roberta Carter, (nee:Straunpff), 87, of St. Jacob, Illinois, born June 1, 1918 in Red Lodge, Montana, died December 5, 2005.
Mrs. Carter moved to St. Jacob, Illinois in 1985 having lived in Spokane, Washington, Arizona, and California for 20 years.She was a member of Phoenix Moose Lodge #708, and she loved and was very artistic doing ceramics.
Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Elizabeth Straunpff.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband William E. Carter whom she married March 10, 1982, two sons, Robert (Barbara) Ruddy of Alton, Missouri, Charles "Chuck" Ruddy of Showlow, Arizona, four step-children, one sister, Mrs. Charlene Gieger of Montana, and numerous grandchildren.
Memorials for Mrs. Carter are to be made to St. Jacob Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral arrangements are pending for Mrs. Carter.
