Julia Mally, nee Wiercinski, age 80, of Troy, passed away Sunday morning, October 17, 2004 at her home.
Mrs. Mally was a homemaker, who loved caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an active hospital volunteer in Texas, where she spent her winter months. She also volunteered at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy.
Julia is survived by her husband, Frank, whom she married May 6, 1944; two sons, William (Lucy) Mally of Reseda, California and Brian (Dorothy) Mally of St. Louis, Missouri; five daughters, Christine (Steve) Bartos of Camdenton, Missouri, Barbara (Bob) Thomas of Temple, Texas, Joan (Don) Green of Vinemont, Alabama, Mary (Gary) Allison of Troy, Illinois, and Celestine (Dave) Pearman of Granite City, Illinois; a sister, Marie Welekinski of Ocean Side, California; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Helen (nee Chwalinski, Wiercinski; two sons, Frank Mally, Jr. and Patrick James Mally; and a brother.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Jerome Catholic Church at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 20, 2004, with Monsignor Virgil Mank officiating.
Memorials may be made in Julia Mally's name in the form of Masses.
