Joyce Ann M. Prow, 85, of Troy IL, entered eternal rest, fortified with the last sacrament, on April 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was born on August 5, 1940, in St. Louis, MO. 

Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She married her beloved husband, the late Charles LeRoy Prow III, on September 7,1957 and together they built a home and raised a family. The family now spans generations and possesses a love for each other and for their faith. Joyce is a is lifelong Catholic and in the most recent years a member of St. Jerome, Troy, IL.

Her life was a testament to her faith and her family. In addition, to her own family, countless others called her “mom” and “grandma”. To the many of those who sent prayers and cards during her illness, both she and the family are deeply appreciative. 

Joyce was preceded in death by husband, Charles LeRoy Prow III, parents, George Lawrence and Marie Pauline (nee Mueller) Moeller; her brothers and sisters-in-laws, Gerald Harry “Jerry” (Ginny) Moeller, Richard Urban “Dick” (Carol) Moeller and George William (Jane) Moeller.

Surviving are her children, Charles (Angela) Prow IV of Hilton Head, SC, Theresa Prow (Thomas “Tom” Schmitt) of Richmond Heights, MO, Kathrine (Mark) Stephens of Maryville, IL and Stephen (Barbara) Prow of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Jason (Carly) Prow and Abbey (Alexis) Bigi-Prow, Erin (Jason) Fischer, Robert “BJ” (Stephanie) Luecke, Tyler (Amara) Prow, Ashley (Grant) Lisec, Caitlyn Prow, Noah Prow; great-grandchildren, Sadie and Connor Prow and Charles and Louis Bigi-Prow; Samantha and Jessica Luecke and Aiden Vandament, Brother-in-laws Richard “Dick” Prow, James “Buddy” Prow, John (Lauren) Openlander, Patrick “Pat” (Mary) Openlander, Thomas “Tom” (Holly) Openlander, and Sister-in-laws Mary (Randy) Hunter, Barbara Prow; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on April 24, 2026, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy IL with Fr. Kevin Laughery officiating, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis MO.
