Josephine Ann Hood, 72, of Troy, IL, born August 26, 1942, in Highland, IL, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
Josephine was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved camping and karaoke and the quiet time she shared with her two grand-dogs. Josephine worked for 15 plus years at Christian Wolfe in Troy, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alexander P. Hood; Parents, William and Louise (nee Bach) Ripperda; sisters, Wilhelmine Schroeder and Catherine Buscher; brothers, Alphonse, Vincent, John, Raymond, Edward, Joseph, Clarence, and Jerome Ripperda.
Surviving are her children, Gary (Brenda) Hood of Granite City, IL. Robert Hood of Belleville, IL, Deborah Hood of Troy, IL and Lisa (JR) Green of St. Jacob, IL; grandchildren, Nathan, Nick, Tiffany, Kayla, Christina, Alissa and Alicia Hood and R. J. Long,; great-grandchildren, Cheyanne and Hunter Smith, Miranda Statham-Hood, Taylor and Shay Lindsay, Matt Hood and Steven Long; sister, Maryanne Brueggemann of Belleville, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19,2014, at Richeson Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchel Schuessler officiating. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, IL
