Obituary

Joseph Jules Lancey, 79 of Troy, Illinois, born June 30, 1924, in East St. Louis, IL., died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at Highland Health Care, Highland, IL.
Mr. Lancey was a pressman for the St. Louis Post Dispatch. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and The Midwest Bird and Animal Breeders Association. He raised exotic animals and birds for 30 years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Lancey was preceded in death by his parents, Edward "Buck" and Nora (nee: Hannon) Lancey; five brothers, Edward, George, Patrick, Richard and Charles Lancey; and two sisters, Margaret McGovern and Anna Kemp.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie (nee: Bower) Lancey of Troy, IL., whom he married September 16, 1961; a son, Joseph (Darla) Lancey of Lebanon,IL., and two grandchildren, Patrick and Rachael Lancey.
VISITATION: Friends may call from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday, June 13, 2003, and from 9 to 11 A.M. Saturday, June 14, 2003 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, IL.
FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, June 14, 2003 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, IL., with the Rev. Father Steven Janoski officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights,IL.
