Joseph R. "Joe" Johnson, 35, of St. Jacob, Ill., born November 5, 1981, in Woodriver, Ill., passed suddenly Friday, July 14, 2017, in Woodriver, Ill.

Joe loved and was loved by his family, always finding time to be involved in his children's activities. He enjoyed yard work and was always trying to make his lawn and flowers perfect. Joe volunteered his time on Friday evenings to the Troy VFW fish fry. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Harry Gleason.

Surviving are his wife Sarah, nee Heuter, Johnson, whom he married May 23, 2014, and lives in St. Jacob, Ill.; children, Bryce Jerald Johnson of Pontoon Beach, Ill. and Dax Robert Johnson of St. Jacob, Ill.; parents, Debbie, nee Johnson, (Gerald) Mosher of Troy, Ill.; brother, Kevin (Kim) Johnson of Troy, Ill.; sisters, Jennifer (Will) Rogers of Troy, Ill., and Sarah (Msgt Jake) Davis of Honolulu, Hawaii; dear nephew, cousin and friend to many.
