John was a member of the Troy Methodist Church.  He was a member of the Free Mason's Bridgeton Lodge #80 AF and AM.  John was a St. Louis Blues Hockey fan, cowboy at heart, enjoyed trail rides, camping and woodworking.  He loved his family and enjoyed the times they spent together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville C. and Catherine W. (nee Craig) White.

Surviving are his wife, Karen (nee Holliday) White; children, Dana M. Houle of St. Peters, MO and Brittany (Andrew) Hanford of St. Jacob, IL; grandchildren, Joshua W. Houle and Jonathan C. Hanford; great-grandchildren, Wyatt W. and Francesca D. Houle; sisters, Jacqueline (Charles) Ray of Cape Coral, FL and Joy (Rick) Wright of St. Charles, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
