John Randolph Sanders Jr., 91, of Troy, Ill., born Oct. 10, 1917, in St. Louis, Mo., died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Mr. Sanders was a maintenance supervisor at Boise Cascade. He was a WW II Navy Veteran and Pearl Harbor Survivor.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Kevin Sanders; his parents, John R. and Esther, nee Sewing, Sanders Sr.; a brother, Raymond Sanders; and sisters, Bernice Fryycki and Audrey Welshans.
Surviving are his wife, Beulah, nee Erb, Sanders whom he married on Nov. 23, 1946, in St. Louis, Mo.; three sons, John Randolph III, of Troy, Ill., Richard (Donna) Sanders of Athens, Texas, and Mark (Donna) Sanders of Troy, Ill.; a daughter, Kathy (Mike) Sauerwein of Troy, Ill.; and five grandchildren, Brett (Elaine) Sauerwein, Kyle Sauerwein, Chad (Val) Burgess, and David Sanders.
Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
