Obituary
John Francis Neal, 89, of Troy, Ill., born March 29, 1924, in Port Morris, N.J., passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Anderson Hospital.
Mr. Neal was a retired supervisor for Hercules Powder Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte, nee Bell, Neal whom he married on Jan. 17, 1948, in Stan Hope, N.J., and who died Dec. 19, 2003; a grandson, Ryan Neal; parents, John and Rose Neal; four brothers; and two sisters.
Surviving are his son, Mike (Mary) Neal of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren, Kelly (Chad) Van Ryn and Heather (Michael) Tiemann; and great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Hannah Meier and Makayla Van Ryn.
Memorials may be made to the Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks Hospital.
Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at the funeral home with Rev. James Brooks officiating. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Black Jack, Ill.
