John P. Mansini Sr., 91, of Edwardsville, Ill., born Sept. 1, 1916, in Lovilia, Iowa, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at University Nursing and Rehab.
Mr. Mansini was a retired truck driver from Rogers Cartage in Wood River, Ill. For the last 10 years he has lived in Troy, prior to that has lived in Collinsville for 20 years and in Carlyle for 20 years. His hobby and interest was his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Mary, nee Pedretti, Mansini; brothers, Angelo and James Mansini; a cousin, Giulia Mansini; and half-brother, Frank Rocker.
Surviving are his wife, Rachel, nee Hutchens, Mansini, whom he married on Aug. 20, 1935, in Jerseyville, Ill.; two sons, John (Kim) Mansini of Lake Saint Louis, Mo., and James (Rene) Mansini of Indianola, Iowa; two daughters, Mary (Larry) Stammer of New Athens, Ill., and Betty (Larry) Reynolds of Troy, Ill.; a brother, Louis Rocker Jr., of Colorado; a sister-in-law, Anna Mae Rocker of Benld, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Laughlin Funeral Home "Chapel", Troy, Ill. Interment will be at noon Friday at Kane Cemetery, Kane, Ill.
