Obituary
John Stephen Humphrey III, 69, of Troy, Ill., born Sept. 4, 1941, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at his home.
Mr. Humphrey had retired after 34 years of service as an expediter from Boeing. A 1992 graduate of SIUE in Anthropology. He was a member of Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Stephen Jr. and Helen Francis, nee Borkowski, Humphrey.
Surviving are his sister, Nancy (Louis) Newport of Glen Carbon, Ill.; son, Don Andrew (Julie) Humphrey of Belleville, Ill.; uncle, Chester Borkowski of Swansea, Ill.; many cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to Madison County Humane Society
Mr. Humphrey's wishes were to be cremated and a private family memorial service to be held at a later date.
