Obituary
John William "Bill" Fox, 90, of Troy, Ill., born Feb. 13, 1921, in Troy, Ill., died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Highland Health Care, Highland, Ill.
Mr. Fox was a member of Troy United Methodist Church and a member of American Legion, Troy, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Biz and Margaret, nee Lewis, Fox; a grandchild, Erin Reilson; a brother, James "Jack" Fox; and three sisters, Marguerite Takacs, Blanche McGovern and Mary Louise Merkel.
Surviving are his wife, Joan, nee Llewellyn, Fox, whom he married June 23, 1951; three daughters, Lynn (Kenneth) Reinacher of Marine, Ill., Kay (Brad) Reilson of Marine, Ill., and Beth (Todd) Maedge of Marine, Ill.; and his grandchildren, Anna Reinacher, Sara Reinacher, Ryan Reilson, Kassie Maedge, Kortney Maedge and Kyle Maedge.
Memorials may be made to Fisher House, at Jefferson Barracks and sent to VFW Post 976, Attn: Roger Alons, 123 West Market St., Troy, Ill., 62294.
Private services were held. Burial at Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
