Obituary
John Castelli, 77, of Edwardsville, Ill., born July 5, 1935 in Collinsville, Ill., died on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, in Edwardsville, Ill.
Mr. Castelli had attended St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Ill. He loved watching the Cardinals, proudly participated in the Special Olympics, enjoyed bowling, fishing and nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Catherine, nee Vegari, Castelli; brothers, Lou, Joseph, David and Bob Castelli; and sisters, Louella Jones and Ruth Trayan.
Surviving are his sisters-in-law, Alice Castelli of Collinsville, Ill., and Lorraine Castelli of Colorado Springs, Colo.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church or to a humane society.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill.
Friends may also call from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Ill.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at the church with Father Pat Jakel officiating. Interment in St. John Cemetery in Collinsville, Ill.
