Joey A. McDowell, 86, of Troy, IL, born Friday, November 6, 1936 in Edwardsville, IL and passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 in Maryville, IL.

Joey attended Friedens United Church of Christ in Troy, IL and was a member of the Women's Guild.  She retired from Triad School District as a bus driver and worked as a floral Designer for Kim's Creations.  She enjoyed her card clubs and was a member of the Friends Program.  Joey loved her family and enjoyed the times she spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. McDowell Sr.; her son, Donald E. McDowell Jr. and her parents, Paul and Rose (nee Kritcka) Connor; and her two sisters, Doris Schmidt and Flora Sinclair.

Surviving are her son, David (Sandy) McDowell of Troy, IL; daughter-in-law, Sharon McDowell; grandchildren, Christopher McDowell and Donald (Michelle) McDowell; great-grandchildren, Landon and Carson McDowell; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
