Obituary
Joe Milton Estes, 83, of Troy, Ill., born Feb. 12, 1932, in Benton, Ky., died Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Eden Village, Glen Carbon, Ill.
Joe was a long-time faithful and active member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, Ill., where he served as Superintendent of Sunday Schools, and on the Church Council. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed mapping and planning vacations, he loved to cruise, and his time spent on the ocean.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie and Martha B., nee Lamb, Estes; and a sister, Doris Lefevers.
Surviving are his wife, Jackie, nee Mornhinweg, Estes of Troy, Ill.; his children, Joe M. (Ellen) Estes of Glen Ellen, Ill., and Jeffery Estes of Troy, Ill.; his grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, Scott, and Jennifer Estes; a sister, Donna Ellis of Clarksville, Tenn.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Friedens UCC, Troy, Ill., with Rev. Douglas Seagle officiating. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
