Jeffrey D. Callahan, 64, of Troy, IL, born Saturday, June 4, 1955 in Moline, IL passed away on Sunday,
September 1, 2019 in Maryville, IL.

Jeff was a member of Our Lord's Lutheran Church, Maryville, IL. He was a Sommelier at Porter's Steakhouse in Collinsville for 21 years and was known throughout the area as "the Wine Guy". He was founder and educator at Mid-American School of Wine. Jeff was a CSW (Certified Specialist of Wine), and a member of Society of Wine Educators as well as Court of Master Sommeliers. He was a graduate of Concordia, Black Hawk College and Moline High School.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary (nee Vickers) Callahan.

Surviving are his children, Tamsone Barley of Kirkwood, MO and Donald Callahan of Troy, IL; longtime friend and adopted sister, Lori (Greg) Fremder of Troy, IL; adopted nieces, Becky, Cassi and Kylie Fremder, Mabel and Maxine Asbury; and many dear friends and extended family.
