W. Jean Sims, 90, born June 27, 1927 in Cobden, Ill., passed away on Friday August 25, 2017 in Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Jean was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill. She started the Helping Hands program at St. Paul's and was also involved in St. Paul's Ladies Aid. She worked for over 22 years at Allen's Drugs in Troy, Ill., and Norene's Beauty Shop.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Sims whom she married August 17, 1968 at St. Paul's Lutheran church, and who passed away Sept. 14, 2007; son, Paul Ray Woolley; parents William and Loney, nee Club, Klughart; Sisters, Florence Klughart, Bernice (Howard) Teller, Clara (Glenn) Tweedy and Virginia (Willard) Cripps.
Surviving are her son, Dan (Jayne) Woolley of O'Fallon, Mo.; close family friend, Karen (Mike) McCalla; grandchildren, Tim (Vanessa) McCalla and Lauren (Matt) Kerkemeyer; greatgrandchildren, Alyssa and Jack McCalla; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill., with Rev. Mitchel Schuessler officiating. Interment in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
