Jay Allen Madas, 50, of Troy, Ill., born Aug. 19, 1963, in Rahwat, N.J., passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Jay was the program director for radio stations KXEN 1010 am and WGNU 920 in St. Louis, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Madas.

Surviving are his wife, Angela, nee Spigner, Madas of Troy, Ill.; children, Calvin Madas of Troy, Ill., and Valerie Madas of Tacoma, Wash.; his mother, Janet, nee Suess, Madas of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother, Jim (Teri) Madas of Harford, Pa.; and sister, Judy (Ted) Stevens of Nicholson, Ga.

Memorials may be made to the Madas family education fund.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Charles West officiating.
