Mrs. Janice M. Llewellyn, (nee: Kolton) 83, of Troy, Illinos, born July 9, 1923 in Boston, Massachusetts, died July 25, 2006 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois.
Mrs. Llewellyn lived in the Troy area for over 50 years. She worked in the cafeteria at Triad High School and also at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, Illinois and Scott Air Force Base in O'Fallon,Illinois Mrs. Llewellyn was a faithful member of St. Jerome Catholic Church for many years,a member of the Church Choir, a member of St. Ann's Altar Society, the Red Hat Society, the Adult Fellowship Society of Troy,Home Extension and Brownie and Girl Scout Leader.
Mrs. Llewellyn is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Pauline (nee:Ambrochewicz)Kolton, her husband William Llewellyn whom she married November 22, 1942 and passed away December 23, 1981, a grandson Richard R. Llewellyn Jr., and three brothers, Andrew, Frank and Anthony Kolton.
Mrs. Llewellyn is survived by two sons, William C. (Marilyn) Llewellyn Jr. of Vancouver, Washington, and Richard R. (Jackie) Llewellyn of Cottage Hills, Illinois, two daughters, Mrs. Linda Matula of Rogers, Arkansas, and Mrs. Maudie (Robert) Sheroky of Troy, Illinois, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home on Thursday, July 27, 2006 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Illinois, on Friday, July 28, 2006.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Illinois, with Rev. Msgr. Virgil Mank officiating. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Black Jack, Illinois.
