Obituary
Janice Ann Caraker, 64, of Troy, Ill., born July 31, 1945, in Duquoin, Ill., died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Janice worked as an office manager for Flo-Systems. She was a member of DAR, and the Red Had Ladies of Troy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred, nee Sanders, Elrod; and a brother-in-law, Robert Virobik.
Surviving are Tom Caraker, Sr., of Troy, Ill.; her son, Charles T. Caraker Jr. of Troy, Ill.; her daughter, Kembra Lynn Caraker of Troy, Ill.; sisters, Beverly Virobik of Centralia, Ill., and Barbra (Joe) Schaeffer of Huntington Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Kelly Marie Caraker and Tristan Charles Caraker; and her two dogs, Skeeter and Gracie.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at the funeral home with the Rev. Nate Hagen Officiating. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
