Jan F. Alons, 76, of Troy, IL, born Tuesday, October 23, 1945 in Sioux Center, IA and passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in St. Louis, MO.

Jan attended Maryville Baptist Church, Maryville, IL. She Loved selling real estate and assisting each client on finding their dream home. She started her career with the Century 21 Office in Troy, IL. She spent many years of her career with Remax Realty Services and retired after 25 years of dedicated service from Berkshire-Hathaway Office in Edwardsville, IL. She was a life member of the Troy VFW Post 976 Auxiliary. She had a passion for collecting Boyd's Bears and Longaberger Baskets. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild with her gentle spirit and enjoyed all the time they spent together.

She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Alons; parents, Arend and Rosella (nee Blankespoor) Wassink; brother, Cornie Wassink and her brother-in-law, Jerry Folkerts.

Surviving are her husband, Roger Alons of Troy, IL; her children, Jacqueline (Leonard) Elmore of Collinsville, IL, Todd (Danette) Alons of Troy, IL, Tammy (Brian) Wachter of Flowery Branch, GA, and Shaun Alons of Granite City, IL; grandchildren, Daniel Mahoney, Erin (Alex) Buttle, Aaron Elmore, Shannon Mahoney, Katlyn (Josh) Reis, Savanna Wachter and Case Wachter; great-grandchild, Rhys Buttle; sisters, Elaine (Roger) Kempema, Gloria (Ken) Van Wyhe and Arlis Folkerts, Sister-in-law, Deb Wassink; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Visitation for Jan will be 5 to 8 pm on Monday, January 3, and 9 to 10 am on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL with Rev. Tom Hufty officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO
