Obituary

Mr. James Orville Taylor, 71, of Collinsville, Illinois, born March 13, 1935 in Shelbina, Missouri, died September 3, 2006 at his residence.

Mr. Taylor lived in Collinsville, Illinois for the last nine years, and prior to that he lived in Hanley Hills, Missouri. He was a printer for Stevens Business Forms for 23 years, then an over the road and local truck driver for 15 years prior to retirement. Mr. Taylor was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville, Illinois.

Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his parents, Estyl and Marie (nee: Crain) Taylor, one son in infancy, and one brother in infancy.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Ruth (nee:Rogers) Taylor, whom he married on September 2, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri, two sons, James (Beth) Taylor of Maryville, Illinois, and Donald Taylor of Chicago, Illinois, three brothers, Estyl Taylor of St. Louis, Missouri, Robert (Glenna) Taylor of Troy, Missouri, and Gentry (Elaine) Taylor of Afton, Missouri, three sisters, Mrs. Mary (Malcolm) Roe of Vanceburg, Kentucky, Mrs. Anne Jesse of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Mrs. Troyena Kehoe of O'Fallon, Missouri, his mother-in-law, Eleanor Souders of St.Louis, Missouri, and two grandchildren, Katherine Ogan and Madeline Taylor.

VISITATION: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 6, 2006.

FUNERAL SERVICES will be Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 10 A.M. at Laughlin Funeral Home "Chapel" with the Reverend Michael Walther officiating.

BURIAL will be at 11:15 A.M. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.

Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Donor's Choice.
