James D. "Jim" Tedford, 70, of Troy, IL, born Wednesday, September 30,1953 in Mt. Vernon, IL and passed away on January 25, 2024 in St. Louis, MO.

Jim attended Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, IL. He retired as a Pipefitter from Granite City Steel with over 40 years of service.  Jim was an avid Cardinal baseball fan.  He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Robin L. (nee Rhoads) Tedford whom he married March 24, 1978 and she passed away on September 28, 2012; his father Frank Tedford, a brother, Terry Tedford and his sister-in-law, Sandy Tedford.

Surviving are his children, Jimmy (Kathy) Tedford of St. Charles, MO and Jacque (Paul) Williams of Cheyene, WY; grandchildren, Bella Marcum, Olivia Rajanna, Roman Tedford and Lincoln Williams; his mother, Helen (nee Boles) Tedford of Troy, IL, brothers, Dale Tedford of Troy, IL, Gary (Joy) Tedford of Edwardsville, IL, Carol Wooliver of Herculaneum, MO, Linda (Keith) Reckmann of Nashville, IL and Diane (Matt) Galli of Roscoe, IL; nieces, nephews, cousin and many friends.

Visitation for Jim will be 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 and 10 to 11 am on Thursday, February, 1, 2024 at Richeson Funeral home, Troy, IL

Funeral services will be held 11 am on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL with Rev. Tim Lewis officiating.  Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, IL
