Obituary

James Francis Borowy, 73, of Collinsville, Ill., born Dec. 3, 1938, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, in Houston, Texas.


Mr. Borowy was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He had retired from Anheuser Busch after 34 years of service. He was member of Brewers and Maltster Local Union No. 6.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline, nee Bone, Borowy; and his parents, Joseph and Lillian, nee Karlak, Borowy.

Surviving are his wife, Cynthia, nee Kamm, Borowy of Collinsville, Ill.; daughters, Laura (John) Barberis of St. Jacob, Ill., and Michele (Wally) Lightner of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren, Jessica, John and Jordan Barberis and Owen Lightner; sisters, Joanie (Bob) Harrison of Troy, Ill., and Carol Borowy of St. Louis, Mo.; in-laws, Arthur and Yvonne Kamm of Troy, Ill.; his cherished dog, Ziggy; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made to Friedens Church or Lung Cancer Alliance.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m.Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill.
Friends may also call from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, Ill.

Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at the church with Father Stephen Sotiroff officiating. Interment in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Collinsville, Ill.
