Jacquelyn "Jackie" Mornhinweg Estes, 92, of Troy, Illinois was born Friday, August 18, 1933, in St. Louis, MO and passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025, in Troy, IL.

Jackie was a life-long member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Troy where her father Rev. Richard Mornhinweg had been the Pastor for 43 years.  She was an active member at Friedens UCC serving on many church committees and volunteering on church activities, Women's Guild and Church Choir.  She attended SIU Carbondale where she received her Teaching Degree and Certificate Then taught primary school classes in Alton, Il and later taught 3rd grade in Troy, IL.  She volunteered with Anderson Hospital Auxiliary in Maryville, IL for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Herna (nee Derwelis) Mornhinweg, her husband, Joe Milton Estes whom she married August 19, 1962, in Troy, IL and he passed away December 8, 2015; her grandson, Jeffrey Scott Estes; and daughter-in-law, Vickie Estes.

Surviving are her sons, Joe Estes (Ellen) and Jeff Estes; her grandchildren, Matt Estes, Lauren Del Ciello (John) and Jennifer Estes.

Visitation for Jacquelyn will be 5 to 7 pm on Monday, December 8,  and 10 to 11 am on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9 at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL.
