Jack C. Briley, 73 of Troy, IL, born Oct. 11, 1934, in Benton, IL, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Mr. Briley retired from Hunter Packing Co., in 1981, and from Schnucks Markets in 1999. He was associated with Pop's Lawn care Center. Jack was a faithful member of Troy Assembly of God Church since 1971. He coached Khory league with his sons, loved watching baseball enjoyed fishing especially with his brother Charlie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Idalia, nee Hicks, Briley; his parents-in-law, Carl and Helen, nee Mabry, Jones and a brother-in-law, Frank Mabry.
Surviving are his wife, Eva, nee Jones, Briley, whom he married Dec. 24, 1954, in West Frankfort, IL; his sons, Bruce Briley of Collinsville, IL, Mark Briley of Collinsville, IL, and Steve (Rachel)Briley of State Park Place, IL; three brothers, Bill (Lois) Briley of Benton, IL, Bob (Jean) Briley of West Frankfort, IL, and Charles (Lela) Briley of Thompsonville, IL; three sisters, Lola (Fred) Eason of Memphis, TN, Marcella Mabry of West Frankfort, IL, and Sheila (Dave) Brashear of West Frankfort, IL, a sister-in-law, Frances (Jack) Smith and a brother-in-law, Jim (Sally) Jones.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at the Troy Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Interment was in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.
