Iva L. Martinez, 91, of Maryville, IL, born Friday, July 1, 1927 in Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at her home.

Iva was a long time member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick "Fred" Martinez whom she married November 27, 1945 and he passed away on June 25, 2005; a son, Dr. Terry T. Martinez; parents, Everett Sr. and Emma (nee Linthicum) Frye; brothers, Everette Frye Jr. and Ralph W. Moore.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Daniel (Rae Downing) Martinez of Fairview Heights, IL, Sarah (Christopher "Chip" Peila) Martinez of Makawao, Hawaii, Laura E. Martinez of University City, MO, Marcia Martinez of Vancouver British Columbia Canada; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Tosh and Marina Keale Piela; daughter-in-law, Ruth (nee Sonsini) Martinez of Collinsville, IL

Visitation for Iva will be on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 10 to 11 am at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at RICHESON FUNERAL HOME, Troy, IL with Fr. Joseph Hravilka officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO
