Irene L. Droy, 91, of Troy, IL, born Thursday, February 2, 1928 in Collinsville, IL and passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

Irene was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had worked as a secretary for Mapco Auto Salvage and enjoyed sewing. She and her husband Robert owned and operated Droy Ford Sales in Troy, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Droy whom she married on May 3, 1947 and he passed away on September 13, 2014; great-granddaughter, Josephine Maria Droy; parents, Oliver and Alice (nee Meyer) Schlemer; brother, Mel Schlemer and a sister, Laverne Stien.

Surviving are her children, Randy (Cindy) Droy of Marine, IL, Bradley (Claudia) Droy of Destin, FL and Cynthia (Otho) Tucker of Greensboro, GA; 12 grandchildren, Brett (Jennifer) Droy, Chad (Tara) Droy, Cory (Maria) Droy, Wade (Jennifer) Tucker, Will (Christy) Tucker, Jill (Matthew) Linsey, Shauna (Ben) Claxton, Lyndsay (Justin) Thompson, Jordan, Joshua, Brandon and Ashton Droy; 21 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Trent, Kaylee, Owen, Quinn, Genevieve, Elizabeth, James and Myles Droy, Paxton, Pace, Wyatt, Whitt and Wesley Tucker, Jet and Knox Lindsey, Jack, Grace and Lily Thompson, Roman Claxton and Dahlia Droy; and a sister-in-law, Shirley (Bob) Matthews of Troy, IL; aunt, cousin and friend to many.
