Ida Mae Buesking, nee Berens, age 86, of Troy, formerly of Maryville, Illinois, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 11, 2004 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.

Ida Mae was born March 21, 1918 in New Baden, Illinois to Robert and Elizabeth (nee Galloway) Berens. She married Earl Buesking June 17, 1939; he passed away March 15, 1979. Mrs. Buesking worked as a manager for Ben Franklin Five & Dime for 20 years and she sold Stanley Home Products. She was a member of the Moose Lodge Chapter #82 in Edwardsville, Illinois, Daughters of Isabella, and Jarvis Township Senior Citizens. She enjoyed quilting with the ladies of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy and Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville. She also enjoyed dancing and playing cards.

Ida Mae is survived by her son, Daryel, and his wife Pat, Buesking of Edwardsville; her son-in-law, Ronald Kress of Troy; her brother Arthur Berens of Belleville; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Battoe of O'Fallon, Illinois and Martha Woods of Black Rier Falls, Wisconsin. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Bryan Buesking, Brittany Buesking and Ryan Kress. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl, her daughter Donna Mae Kress, two brothers and one sister.

Visitation: Friends may call after 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at Laughlin Funeral Home.

Rosary will be recited at 5:00 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 am, Thursday, July 15, 2004 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Illinois with Monsignor Virgil Mank officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. Jerome Building Fund, Jarvis Township Senior Citizens or in the form of Masses.

Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, Collinsville, Illinois.
