Obituary
Hugh Thomas Mitchell, 81, of St. Jacob, IL, born April 19, 1934 in Tiptonville, TN, died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, IL.
Hugh worked for the Army Corp of Engineers as a Riverboat Captain. He loved his grandchildren, fishing and wood working.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eva Lee (nee Jones) Mitchell whom he married in 1953 and she passed away January 25, 1981; parents Finis and Geneva M. (nee Pierce) Mitchell.
Surviving are his daughters, Karen (James) Luna of St. Jacob, IL, and Susan (David) Wilcox of Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren, Jacob and Kaitlin Luna of St. Jacob, IL and a sister Wanda Adams of Auburndale, FL.
Memorials may be made to Melanoma Research at Siteman Cancer Center,4921 Parkview Pl, St Louis, MO 63110.
