Helen N. Tedford, 93, of Troy, IL., born Friday, on March 4, 1932, in Mt. Vernon, IL., passed away on July 20, 2025, in Glen Carbon, IL.

Helen was a devoted wife and a loving mother to 7 children, cherished grandmother to 14 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren and a dear friend to many. She dedicated her life to raising her children and caring for her family and she was a pillar of strength to all who knew her. She loved her family and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Frank Tedford whom she married on December 24, 1948, and he passed on October 11, 1997.  her parents, Verla (nee Satterfield) and Arlin Boles; a brother, Gary Boles; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and June Tedford; sister-in-law, Patty Boles; her sons, Terry Tedford and Jim Tedford; daughters-in-law, Sandy Tedford and Robin Tedford; her grandsons, Terry Tedford Jr, and Jason Tedford and one great-grandson.

Surviving are her children, Dale Tedford of Troy, IL., Gary (Joy) Tedford of Edwardsville, IL., Carol Wooliver of Herculaneum, MO., Linda (Keith) Reckmann of Nashville, IL., and Diane (Matt) Galli of Roscoe, IL.; a Brother, Larry Boles of Mt. Vernon, IL; grandchildren, Tammy, Tabitha, Chris, Jacquelyn, Jimmy, Natalie, Jamie, Chad, Stephanie, Brandon, Sara and Emily; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends Ginny and Dino Galli of Glen Carbon, IL.

Visitation for Helen will be held from 9:30 am to 11 am on Monday, July 28, 2025, with Funeral services immediately following at 11 am at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL with Rev. Tim Lewis officiating.  Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, IL.
