Obituary
Helen Marie DeBourge, 100, of Highland, Ill., born April 11, 1911, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Faith Country Side in Highland, Ill.
Mrs. DeBourge was a member of the Catholic Church and had celebrated her 100th birthday in April.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy DeBourge, whom she married on Dec. 30, 1930, and who died Feb. 24, 1985; a grandchild; parents, George and Marie, nee Miller, Vollmer; sons, Bernard, Robert and Thomas DeBourge; daughter, Margaret Peterson; brothers, Frank, George and Joseph Vollmer; and sisters, Margaret Strier, Theresa Renois and May Richardson.
Surviving are her sons, Lawrence (Maureen) DeBourge of St. Jacob, Ill., and Donald DeBourge of Gulfshores, Ala.; 21 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at the funeral home with Father Pat Jakel officiating. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
