Obituary
Mr. Harold J. Weil, 74, or Troy, Ill., born February 3, 1931 in Shiloh, Ill., died Friday, October 28, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Weil was a farmer until 1971, at which time he purchased the Troy Corner Store and operated it until his retirement in March of 2003. He loved to fish and he loved the river and most of all he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Clara Weil, two brothers, Everett "Bud" Weil and Russell Weil, and a sister, Elsie Hock.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley (nee: Klein) Weil of Troy, Ill., whom he married April 2, 1955, four daughters, Linda (Donald) Blanke of Troy, Ill., Karen (Fiance Matthew Berg) Of Troy, Ill.,Sara (Scott) Daminski of Troy, Ill., and Lisa (James) Smith of Highland, Ill., two brothers, Floyd (Joan) Weil of Trenton, Ill., and Oscar Weil of Rodchester, Ill., four sisters, Ruth Knipp of New Baden, Ill.,Irene Underwood of Fairview Heights, Ill., Alice Radford of St. Louis, Mo., and Bernetta Radford of Cahokia, Ill., three grandchildren, Jennifer and Adam Blanke and Krystal Daminski.
VISITATION: Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2005 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
FUNERAL SERVICE: will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2005 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., with Reverend Scott Hawker officiating. Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
