Obituary
Mr. Harold Martin Bauer, age 91, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, died August 30, 2010 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.
Mr. Bauer worked in Procurement for the US Government. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Swansea, IL.; DAV Chapter No. 53, Lodge No. 99 AF and AM, Scottish Rite, Belleville, IL., and Ainad Temple, East St. Louis, IL. Mr. Bauer served in the US Army in WWII where he received a Silver Star and a Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marion F. (nee Waters) Bauer; parents, Albert and Clara (nee Caulley) Bauer; brother, Wilbert Bauer, and sister, Karmyn Wagner.
Surviving are daughters, Sharon Lee (Bobby Lee) Culberson of Troy, IL., Judy Ann Hahn of Collinsville, IL., and Marilyn Foehrkolb, of Marine, IL., and grandchildren, Lisa Pethenos and Chris (Courtney) LeBeau.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital Burn Center.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL. with the Rev. Dennis Price officiating.
Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, IL.
