Harlan E. "Harley" Kirsch, 82, of St. Jacob, IL died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at his home in St. Jacob, IL.

He was born January 9, 1936 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, IL to Walter and Mildred (nee Schoeck) Kirsch.

Harley attended St. Jacob High School and then served with the US Navy. After serving he works for A.O Smith Corporation for 10 years. He was a retired farmer. He also served 20 years with the St. Jacob Fire Department.

He is survived by his special friend Shirley Von Hatten and his longtime companion Gizmo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Duane Kirsch who died July 1, 1962 and Glenn Kirsch who died November 4, 2011.
