Gregg Barr, 61, of Troy, IL passed away on January 20, 2024. He was born on November 23, 1962, in Riverside, CA. Gregg was a loving husband to Cheryl (nee Hart) Barr, a devoted father to Evelyn (Kenny) Crowe, Kristen (Eric) Ashcraft Barr and his stepdaughter, Heather (Rey) Mongiovi, and a proud grandfather to Emma, Lucy, Gage, Alex, Aria, Eli, and Noah. He is also survived by his sister, Jodi Barr.

Gregg was preceded in death by his parents, Billy J. and Marilyn "Sue" (nee Harrison) Barr.

Gregg had a fulfilling 35 year career as a lineman with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). He was known for his dedication and hard work in his profession. Outside of work, Gregg had a passion for spoiling his many dogs and grandchildren, as well as his interest in meteorology and Cardinals baseball.

Gregg will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In his memory, contributions can be made to ASPCA or Partners for Pets, organizations that were dear to his heart.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 am on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024 at Troy Methodist Church, Troy, IL

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024 at Troy Methodist Church in Troy, IL.  Continued fellowship and Celebration of Gregg's life will follow at Time Out Restaurant and Bar, 111 W Market St, Troy, IL.
