Grace E. Gerstenecker, 83, of Troy, IL, born Sunday, June 14, 1936 in Highland, IL passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2019 in Maryville, IL.

Grace attended school in Troy, IL and graduated from McCray-Dewey High School. She worked at Jakels in Highland, Illinois for 35 years. She was a long time member of the Presbyterian Church in Troy and a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Grace had fond memories of her class mates from McCray-Dewey High School and enjoyed visiting with them at their class reunions.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Edna Leople (nee Stark) Gerstenecker; sisters and their spouses, Berniece (Edwin) Heck, Catherine (Clark Lewis; Bill McNiven); brothers and spouses, Dale (Lyla) Gerstenecker, Edgar (Nell) Gerstenecker, Milton (Ethel) Gerstenecker; brother-in-laws, Duane DeCota and Glen Hall.

Surviving are her sisters, Evelyn DeCota of Sikeston, MO, Jane (Bob) Converse of Troy, IL and Marjorie Hall of Quincy, IL; and a brother, Frank (Janet) Gerstenecker of Troy, MI; many nieces, nephews and friends.
