Glenn worked as a railroad engineer for Illinois Central RR. He was a member of Troy Assembly of God Church, Troy, Ill., Locomotive Engineers Unions and served his country in the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement C. and Gertrude D., nee Allison, Cook.
Surviving are his wife, Imogene, nee Jeffress, Cook whom he married on Sept. 18, 1952; a son, David Glenn Cook of Edwardsville, Ill.; a daughter, Jean E. (Richard) Schaubert of Conroe, Texas; six grandchildren, Pamela (Shannon) Graves-Steward, Elaina Graves, Michaela Schaubert, R. Corey Schaubert, Rindy (Mike) Cook-Fisk and Gregory Cook; a great-grandchild, Ava Joy Steward; two brothers, Donald (Jackie) Cook of Troy, Ill., and Raymond Cook of Collinsville, Ill.; and two sisters, Phyllis ("Harpo" Richard) Rankin of Troy, Ill., and Myrna (Daniel) Steele of Troy, Ill.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, at Troy Assembly of God Church, Troy, Ill.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, at Troy Assembly of God Church, Troy, Ill., with Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will be held in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
