Obituary
Gertrude A. Cummings, nee Hutter, 96, of Troy, Ill., born June 27, 1912, in St. Louis, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at home.
Mrs. Cummings was a homemaker. She was a member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church in St. Jacob, Ill.
Gertrude was preceded in death by a son, Milton Cummings Jr.; and her parents, Fred and Elizabeth, nee Yaeger, Hutter.
Surviving are her husband, Milton Cummings of Troy, Ill., whom she married Dec. 28, 1935, in St. Louis, Mo.; daughters, Mary Beth (John) McAtee of Troy, Ill., and Linda (Ron) Tribout of Mascoutah, Ill.; grandchildren, John (Jina) McAtee, Daniel (Lora) McAtee, Amy (Andy) Bierman, Paul (Salina) McAtee, Kevin (Rachel) Tribout, Lucienne (Mike) Burrus and Marc (Bridget) Tribout; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. James the Greater Catholic Church, St. Jacob, Illinois.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. James the Greater Catholic Church in St. Jacob, Ill.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at the church with Monsignor Kenneth C. Steffen officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto, Mo.
