Germaine Suter, nee Savage, 82, of St. Jacob, Ill., born September 5, 1934 in Highland, Ill., passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Faith Care Center, Highland, Ill.

Germaine was a member of St. Jacob United Church of Christ, Evening Ladies Fellowship "ELF", White Shrine, and the Ladies Auxiliary St. Jacob Fire Protection District. She was involved in the community, always taking care of her family and others, working at homecomings and delivering meals on wheels for many years. But most of all she was a devoted Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. "Bob" Suter whom she married June 20, 1953 and he passed away in Feb. 2005; parents, James A. and June O. Savage, nee Aebischer.

Surviving are her children, Jane (Clifford) Zbinden of Pocahontas, Ill. and James (Mary) Suter Sr. of Livermore, Calif.; grandchildren, James (Shannon) Suter Jr., Casey (Drew) Zbinden, Amy (Jerimiah) Sullivan, Robert (Anita) Zbinden, Michelle (David) Eastmann and Brett (Jamie) LaGrave; great-grandchildren, Bella Suter, Blaine and Laynie Zbinden, Bailey, Aralynn, and Bryton Sullivan, Landon McKinnon, Jayna and Dexter Zbinden, Mason and Anya Eastman and Levi LaGrave.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2017, at St. Jacob United Church of Christ with Rev. Gary Kniepkamp officiating. Burial will be at Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob, Ill.
