Gerald E. "Jerry" Faires, 83, of St. Jacob, IL, born Friday, July 11, 1941, in Highland, IL and he passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Lebanon, IL.

Jerry was a long-time member of St. Jacob United Methodist Church in St. Jacob, IL.  He graduated from  McKendree College with a degree in business..  He enjoyed traveling, camping and bowling tournaments all over the United States.  In his earlier years he enjoyed drag racing in his 1965 and 1967 GTO race cars.  Most of all Jerry enjoyed his family and the times they spent together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Oneida (nee Wells) Faires; and his brother, James L. Faires.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra (nee Morrison) Faires of St. Jacob, IL; his children, Ross (Harvetta) Faires of Fredericktown, MO, Dirk (Aimee) Faires of Keyesport, IL, Lisa (Scott) Grissom of Highland, IL and Gina (William) Jones of Granite City, IL; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his brother, Denny (Vivian) Faires of Highland, IL; and his sister Cheryl (Jim) Cochran of Collinsville, IL; his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Celebration of Jerry's life will be held 11 am on Saturday at Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home, St. Jacob, IL.  Interment will take place at Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob, IL.
