Obituary
George R. Wittmann, 84, of Troy, Illinois, born December 9, 1922 in Troy, Illinois, died Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Faith Care Center, Highland, Illinois.
Mr. Wittmann was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Madison County Farm Bureau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Maud (nee:Gerstenecker) Wittmann, and two brothers, James Wittmann and Robin Wittmann.
Surviving are his nieces, Kathie (Kirk) Miles, Cindy Lockwood and Kim (Danny) Gatton, and a brother Roy (Marion) Wittmann of Collinsville, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hospice of Southern Illinois, or Faith Care Center, Highland, Illinois. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.laughlinfh.com.
VISITATION: Friends may call from 9 A.M. to Noon, Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
FUNERAL: Funeral service will be held at Noon, Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. James Gullen officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
