Gary F. Rieken, 71, of Troy, IL, born Saturday, August 29, 1953, in Newport, RI and passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, in Maryville, IL.

Gary served his country faithfully in the United States Marines.  He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. He was a quiet, giving family first, husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Billie M. (nee Hall) Rieken; and his brother, William Rieken; father-in-law, Wilbur Jackson; mother-in-law, Norma (Rood) Jackson; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Kampwerth, Darwin Voigt and Timothy Jackson.

Surviving is his wife, Sherry (nee Jackson) Rieken of Troy, IL; children, Joseph (Brandi) Rieken of St. Jacob, IL, Jacob Rieken of Maryville, IL; grandchildren, Carter and Vaeda Rieken and Dnyah Eggestone; his step-mother-in-law, Adeline Amen of Troy, IL; in-laws, Jean Rieken of Las Gatos, CA, Donna Kampwerth of Highland, IL, Margy Voigt of Marine, IL, William Jackson of Troy, IL, Daniel (Lisa) Jackson of Troy, IL; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
