Fred R. Wilber died on Friday September 13, 2013, Belleville, IL., He was born December 9, 1920 in Vernon City, Minnesota.
Fred was an Electrical Engineer at NSA National Security Agency and was a member of the Troy Christian Church. He met and married Shirley E. (nee Calenborn) Wilber in 1949 in Billings, Montana.
He was preceded in death by his wife;Shirley E. (nee Calenborn) Wilber, parents; Fred C. and Ada (nee Cornish) Wilber, brothers; Herbert, William, and Adelbert Wilber, sisters; Marguerite Schwarz, Maysel Vanderyacht, Harriett Morsell and Virginia Wilber.
Fred is survived by his children; Danny (Debbie) Wilber of Troy, IL, Robert (Ramona) Wilber of Arvada, CO, Thomas (Anna) Wilber of Jacksonville, FL and Sandee (Mike) Voith of Hanover, MD. Grandchildren; Matthew, Gregory, Steven, and Keith Wilber, Holly Johanson and Kenny Rakoski, great-grandchildren; Alexys, Hope, William, Olivia, Andrew and Caroline Wilber, Esa and Emma Johanson, Katheine, Amanda and Michael Rakoski and brother; Francis Wilber of Michigan.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Visitation for Fred will be 11 am to 1 pm on Tuesday September 17, 2013 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 pm at the funeral home.
