Fred C. Johnson,60 passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2004 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois. Mr. Johnson was born in Highland, Illinois on April 28, 1944 to the late Edward and Bertha (nee: Kessel) Johnson. Mr. Johnson was married to Judith (nee: Kueker) Johnson on September 21, 1963; she preceded him in death. During his marriage to Judith, God blessed them with four loving daughters; Carrie (John) Hanks, Sheila Francois, Denise (Chris) Hoelscher and Debra Johnson, who passed away on May 24, 2004; two grandchildren; Samantha and Jake Hanks. Mr. Johnson is also preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Johnson was a Binder foreman for the Klasek Graphics Company in St.Louis,Mo. for over 40 years. Fred got his start in printing with Paul Simon at the Troy Tribune newspaper in Troy many years ago. Mr. Johnson had a hobby which he dearly enjoyed-raising game birds.His hobby was know as the Silver Creek Birds.
Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, February 16, 2005.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at the Funeral Home in Troy, IL. Officiating will be Rev.
James K. Gullen.
Interment will be in Forever Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Troy, IL. or to the National Arbor Day Foundation.
