Fred A. Isenberg, 78, of Troy, IL, born Friday, October 25, 1946, in St. Louis, MO and passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Fred attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Troy, IL.  He was a member of the Laborers Local 110.  Fred was a member of Ainad Shriners, Marine AF & AM Lodge # 0355 and Scottish Rite Southern IL.  He and Virginia enjoyed family gatherings, especially hosting the holiday meals. Fred was an avid gardener growing vegetables for Virginia to can and to give away to his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia K. (nee Kochersperger) Isenberg; his son, John F. Isenberg; granddaughter, Destini Warner; his parents, August F. and Bernice (nee Bowser) Isenberg; his brother, Jim Wise and sister, Gail Barker.

Surviving are his children, Paul (Tina) Isenberg of De Soto, MO, Sherri (Chuck) Mumper of Mt. Olive, IL and Teresa (Chris Lenzini) of Centralia, IL; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Visitation for Fred will be from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 11, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL with Rev. Albert Collver officiating.  Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL
