Fred G. Halde, 73, of Troy, Ill., born Oct. 24, 1934, in Cheyenne Wells, formerly First View, Colo., died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Halde owned and operated Computer Assisted Bookkeeping Service (BBS). He lived most of his life in Troy. He was a member of the American Legion and Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, Ill. Fred was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John P. and Alline, nee Patterson, Halde; two brothers, Jack and Carl Halde; and a sister, Colleen Barber.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, nee Lanter, Halde; two sons, Mark (Anna, nee Italiano) Halde and Michael (Lynda) Halde; four daughters, Kathleen (Bill) Hillman, Denise (Bruce) Lehr, Paula Halde and Peggy Jo (Mike) Coolican; 11 grandchildren, Lauren and Kayla Halde, Lucas, Paige and Carl Hillman, Cydney, Conner and Erin Lehr, Jake and Karla Halde and Bridget Coolican; a sister, Rita (Orville) Mousel; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Halde.

Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2008, at the church with Fr. Steve Sotiroff officiating. Interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Black Jack, Ill.
