Frances Lancaster, 95, of Troy, IL, born April 10, 1923 in Centerville, IL, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Morning Side of Troy.

Frances worked for the Triad School District for many years in the cafeteria as a cook. She loved reading and crafting in her spare time. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lancaster, whom she married April 18, 1943 and he passed away January 31, 1989; son, Michael R. Lancaster; grandson, Michael Lancaster; parents, Joseph and Katy (Novoselec) Satay; brother, Michael Sotoy; sisters, Alvina Satay, Victoria Fisk and Mildred Vaughn.

Surviving are her daughter, Pam (Bob) Rood of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Steve (Jenny) Rood, Mark (Valerie) Rood, Erin (Jake) Ernst, and Nicole Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Murrie and Brady Rood, Jacob, Emma and Avery Ernst and Chloe Lancaster; aunt, cousin and friend.
