Frances Marie Bray, 84, of Troy, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Meridian Village, Glen Carbon. She was born on April 22,1932 in Augusta, Kansas to the late Homer and Frankie (nee Slape) Williams.

Frances was a long-time faithful member of Church of Christ, Troy, where she led Bible study. She was an Army wife, and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Kim) Bray of Highland and Timothy Bray of Troy; daughters, Anjila M. (Geof) Stimack of Arvada, Colorado; Rebecca (Bob) Freedman of Springfield, Missouri; Deborah MacDonald of Nashville, Tennessee; and Sandra (Jud) Haynie of Nashville, Tennessee; fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis D. Bray.

Friends may call from  5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Church of Christ, 1400 Troy Road, Collinsville.

Services will be held at Church of Christ at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 23, 2016, with Terry Mabery officiating. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
