Mr. Floyd Chinal, age 88, of Highland, Illinois passed away Monday, November 22, 2010 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. He was born March 28, 1922 in St. Jacob, Illinois.

Mr. Chinal was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country in WWII. He was a member of American Legion Post #439 and VFW Post #5694, both of Highland, Illinois.

Mr. Chinal was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (nee Martin) Chinal; parents, Eugene and Lena (nee Hurst) Chinal; brothers, William and Eugene Chinal, and a sister, Dorothy Neubert.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Cheryl) Chinal of Highland, IL., George (Trish) Laubner of Springfield, IL., Mary Lou Laubner of Homestead, FL., and Connie (Zane) Schneider of St. Jacob, IL.; grandchildren, Lynette Chinal, Dennis and Donny Schneider, Sandra Wells, and Kelsey Lyn Dennis; great grandchildren, Aubrey Chinal, Samantha and Robert Stennett, and Porter Dennis.

Memorials may be made to American Legion Post #439 Highland, IL.

Visitation will be Friday, November 26, 2010 from 5 to 7 PM and Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 12 Noon to 1 PM at Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home, St. Jacob, IL.

The funeral service will be Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 1 PM at the Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home, St. Jacob, IL. with the Rev. Gary Kniepkamp officiating.

Mr. Chinal will be buried with Full Military Honors at Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob, IL.
